Call Forwarding Assistance
What is Call Forwarding?
A phone service feature that allows the customer to forward their phone to another phone number.
How does it work?
Call Forward sends calls to any number you choose, including domestic long distance and cellular. (Note: Long distance and/or cellular charges will apply for each call forwarded.)
Check with your phone company to find out the specifics about how your call forwarding works. Most phone companies recommend the following, but your individual phone company may have different instructions:
- Your Tech would get a text message on their cell phone rather than a separate pager
- Your Tech can reply to the message from the cell phone without having to call into the service
- Once the system gets confirmation, it will mark the message as delivered so the Tech is not contacted again
- If the message is NOT confirmed, our agents can take steps to contact the Tech directly via cell phone, home phone, etc...
How can I verify that Call Forward is on?
- Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
- Press *72 (Rotary users dial 1172). You will hear a rapid busy signal that indicates that the service is turned on.
How do I turn Call Forwarding off?
- Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
- Press *73 (Rotary users dial 1173).
- Listen for two short beeps to confirm Call Forward has been turned off.
